About Us

Camp Nellie Huckins is a special place nestled along the shores of Lake Ossipee. No matter your child’s age, they will embark upon new adventures and opportunities to build confidence and independence. Our counselors and staff create a safe environment where campers can play, have fun, and learn new things, without the pressures of the outside world. Learn more about each division below!

Junior Division

The Junior Division is where our youngest campers live! For campers that have finished 3rd through 5th grade, there are some special things that set them apart from the other divisions. In the JD you will find the Nature Hut, a playground, and the Health Center. Campers are welcome to say good morning to the goats on their way to jons (that’s what we call the bathrooms)!

Middler Division

The Middler Division is for campers that finished 5th and 6th grades. These campers get to boat to the island to sleep under the stars with their cabin! You will also find the Craftshop and Program Lodge in the heart of the Mid Div.

Senior Division

The Senior Division is for our campers that have finished 7th and 8th grades. The seniors enjoy their own beach and sleep a bit later!  The seniors are closest to the Chapel, Sportsfield, and Waterfront.

Leadership Division

Our Leadership Division consists of W’s and CIT’s. W campers have completed 9th grade and have the special chance to go on trips outside of camp to make their final year as a camper special. Former campers that have completed 10th grade apply to be CIT’s (Counselor in Training). CIT’s balance fun and leadership training, learn to teach activities by helping out in all the activity departments, and rotate into camper cabins to train as counselors. Both W’s and CIT’s have extra roles to help camp run smoothly and to help younger campers.
