Palace Update From the Shores of Lake Ossipee!
Good things take time. We are excited to announce that work will resume this fall on the new Palace, the future home of our Executive Director. If you visited camp this summer, you may have noticed two things; the old Palace was gone and a capped foundation was built in its place. Because we cannot build when Camp is in session, it was decided by the Board to do the demolition and site work in the spring and the building in the fall and winter. The project is scheduled to be finished in Spring 2017.
The new director’s home will be a year round facility. It will have a community meeting space in the basement. The director’s private quarters will be on the main and second floors. Overlooking the waterfront, this building will provide a home base for our leadership and staff.
Today, we are reaching out to our friends and family for help with the finishing touches. This money will go towards furniture and some of the upgrades that will make this building a true centerpiece for our camp and a beautiful home for our current and future directors. The goal for this mini-campaign is 100K.
We thank you in advance for your help. I hope that you will come visit Camp next summer and see Jody’s new home.
