Registration

Will we be automatically reregistered for 2021 if we completed a registration for 2020?

  • No. All 2020 registered families will receive an email from Angela with the registration link on Friday, 10.30.20, and need to re-register for 2021 camp. Families can begin registering at 8:00 am on Monday, November 2nd

 SWITCHING SESSIONS:

My daughter was enrolled for the 4th session. Would she automatically be assigned to the same session for 2021? Will there be an opportunity to switch sessions?

  • We will try to ensure all 2020 enrolled campers have a spot in the same session that they were assigned this past summer. If you want to change sessions, you can select that as your preferred session when registering. To ensure you have a spot in 2021, select your 2020 scheduled session as your second choice. Once 2020 campers have been placed, we will try to accommodate session changes.

Can returning campers switch their sessions without losing their spot?

  • Only if you choose their 2020 session as your second choice during registration. If you only select a new session, you could be placed on the waiting list for that session. Please include your 2020 session as your second choice to ensure you have a spot for 2021.

NEW CAMPERS

Will campers who were new in 2020 be considered new in 2021? If they are considered new do we have to wait to register in two weeks?

  • All 2020 registered campers are considered returning campers in 2021 and will be able to register beginning November 2.

My daughter was waitlisted in 2019 but participated in virtual camp in 2020 but has never been a physical Huckins camper. Does she count as a return camper who can register on Nov 2?

  • If a camper was enrolled in 2020, they are considered a returning camper for 2021 registration. If a camper was on the waitlist for 2020, they are not considered a returning camper even if they participated in Huckins@Home virtual camp.

If my daughter is in 3rd grade currently and is supposed to be a first year junior during summer 2021, do you anticipate openings or will last year’s juniors still be in those cabins?

  • At this time, we are prioritizing registration of 2020 enrolled campers for 2021, which will mean we have limited spots for new campers in 2021. New campers can register and will be placed on a waitlist. Once we know how many 2020 campers are returning, we may be able to take new 2021 campers.

 MONTHERS:

Are “Monthers” allowed? Or just 2 weeks?

  • We are prioritizing having space for all our 2020 enrolled campers, which means we will not be enrolling monthers right away. Campers may apply for month, and some monther spots may be available. Please make clear your preferred 2-week session when applying.

FUTURE YEARS AT CAMP :

How will summer 2020 count towards the Huckster award, etc?

  • Summer 2020 will count toward your Huckster award. If 2020 was supposed to be your 4th year at camp, then 2021 will be your Huckster year.

It is great that 2020 campers get to go next year How does that affect future years with the younger kids coming in?

  • In Summer 2022, we hope to return to having our first year campers be third graders(completed third grade).

CANCELLATIONS:

If we register our daughter in November but decide she can’t be there in the summer after all, when is the cut-off to drop out?

  • Medical refunds will be applied if campers withdraw for COVID concerns, as well as other medical conditions. If you withdraw at least 45 days before your session start date, a refund will be considered.

CABINMATE REQUESTS :

Will we be able to make cabinmate requests?

  • First time, new campers to Huckins may make cabin requests.
