The Huckins Fund

The Huckins Fund is for annual general support for Camp Huckins. These funds may support any area of Camp from scholarships and financial aid to program, equipment, maintenance of Camp. These unrestricted funds provide flexibility and can be used immediately. The Huckins Fund helps Camp strengthen its mission to be the best summer camp it can be! Gifts of all sizes have an impact on camp operations and the camp experience. 

A critical need funded by the Huckins Fund is our scholarship and financial assistance program. Each year, many campers request financial assistance. Providing an annual scholarship allows deserving campers to experience camp. One of the wonderful aspects of camp is that campers come from all different backgrounds, live together in cabins, and form life-long friendships. Camp Huckins strives to keep camp affordable but for many it remains out of reach. An annual camper scholarship is $1,965. In 2023, we were able to provide over $350,000 of financial assistance to campers and families in need. 

The Huckins Fund runs annually from January 1st through December 31st. Gifts and pledge payments must be received (dated and postmarked if by mail) by December 31st for inclusion in the Annual Report and annual tax credit. Carroll County YMCA/ Camp Huckins is a registered not-for-profit 501(c)(3) and your gift is tax-deductible.
