Alumni Volunteer Work Weekend is a crucial part of the camp season. It is a great opportunity for Huckins alumni (21+) to reconnect with friends, meet fellow Huckonians, help ready camp for the summer or close down the facility for the season and enjoy some time under the pines. Participants will help set up or breakdown the program areas at camp throughout the weekend. There will also be plenty of time for play once work is complete.

June Weekend

Help the Huckins staff prepare the camp facility and program areas for the season! Projects can include: setting up waterfront floats, moving all boats to the small crafts area, setting up craft shop, prepping the international staff housing units, prepping garden beds, and more! Be sure to share any skills on the registration page you feel would be helpful for the Huckins staff to know as they prepare project lists for this weekend (i.e carpentry, gardening, etc.)

Attendees can stay at camp for the weekend or come up for the day on Saturday to help with projects and connect with fellow alumni! Projects will take place all day on Saturday and Sunday morning. Meals will be provided from Friday dinner through Sunday lunch.

Fall Weekend

Return back to camp in the Fall to help put camp to bed for the year! Projects may include: removing the waterfront floats, moving leftover arts supplies to winter storage, moving boats to sports complex for the winter, closing up housing units and cabins and more!

Attendees have the option to stay overnight at camp from Friday evening to Sunday morning or come up for the day Saturday to help with projects. Projects will take place all day Saturday. Meals will be provided Saturday breakfast through Sunday breakfast. Attendees may arrive to camp Friday evening but should plan to get dinner on their own. Space will be limited.
