  • Be informed about airline policies regarding unaccompanied minors
  • It is the family’s responsibility to make sure the airline has the correct name of the Huckins representative picking up their child, Camp’s contact information and to ensure the necessary paperwork is on file with the airline to give the Huckins representative the authority to pick up your camper.

Airport Pick-Up

Portland’s Jetport accommodates all aircraft but is small enough that our Huckins representative can easily meet all flights. Our representative will greet campers at their gate. We pick up luggage, offer snacks and then travel to camp. Campers will be oriented to safety procedures for travel before departing, including seat belts and use of personal equipment.

  • Please notify the camp office immediately if there are flight changes or delays.
  • Campers should contact the camp office if they have difficulty connecting with the Huckins representative picking them up at the airport.
  • The Huckins representative will contact camp when they have picked up campers, and the camp office will call families to confirm campers are with the Huckins representative.
  • When campers arrive at Huckins, electronic devices (including phones), cash, passports, etc. will be collected and held in safe keeping.

Departing Camp

The Huckins representative will ensure all safe keeping items have been returned to campers prior to leaving camp. Staff will help your child check-in, get to the gate or connect with the airline employee supervising them as an unaccompanied minor. Staff will remain at the airport until all flights have departed. Upon takeoff, our office staff are notified, and you will receive a call from Huckins.
