Some grades and sessions may already be filled by the time the application opens to new applicants in December. We normally say the top ten have a good chance of being taken off the wait list. That being said some grades/sessions will have no cancellations while for another grade/session we may go through the entire wait list.
It is important to know your wishes in regard to the Waiting List. Your daughter may stay on the waiting list right up until the session starts. If you have made alternate plans please notify the office and your daughter’s name will be removed from the waiting list.
Cancellations occur daily. Because payment is due May 1st(for all accepted campers)the majority of cancellations occur during the month of April. We will contact you the minute something becomes available. Be assured, we will give you as much notice as possible.
Please note—If your mailbox on your cell phone is full or not set up to take messages we will move on to the next person on the list.
*******If you plan on being away from your home, please contact the office and leave a number where you may be reached. We only hold waiting list spots for a few days, while we try to reach you. If we do not get a response from you we will move on to the next person on the list.
Up until one month before the session you will have 48 hours to respond to an opening. Less than a month before the session we will keep calling down the list until we reach someone who can take the spot. Please understand this is to give families as much time as possible to prepare.
The problem with a last minute cancellation is securing a doctor’s appointment for a physical. Please be sure your daughter has had a physical within a year of her anticipated arrival date.
